Job Overview:
- We are looking for a dedicated and organized Stock Supervisor to oversee the stock management process in our shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that stock levels are maintained, organizing the storage area and handling stock replenishment. You’ll ensure a smooth stock flow, maintain inventory accuracy, and help enhance the shopping experience for our customers by keeping shelves stocked and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of stock handling within the shop, ensuring stock is readily available for customers.
- Oversee the receiving, storing, and proper placement of stock on shelves, ensuring products are accessible and well-organized.
- Monitor stock levels, ensuring the store is fully stocked at all times and avoid any stockouts.
- Work with the purchasing team to coordinate regular stock replenishments and manage stock deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring all stock movements are properly documented.
- Conduct regular stock counts and stock checks to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies/variances.
- Assist in the implementation of promotional displays, ensuring products are showcased and rotated appropriately.
- Report any stock issues or discrepancies/variances to management and assist in resolving them.
- Keep track of stock returns, damages, and outdated stock, ensuring they are properly recorded and dealt with.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand stock needs and help facilitate smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in stock management or retail supervisory roles (minimum 1-2 years).
- Knowledge of retail stock management procedures and inventory control practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills (Retail management software, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with other departments (sales, purchasing).
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and organize stock when needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with retail inventory management systems (e.g., Retail Management Systems).
- Knowledge of stock replenishment strategies and retail trends.
- Experience in customer service and retail environments.
