Smart Meter Sales Executive

- The Smart Water and Energy Meters Sales Person will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving sales of our smart metering solutions. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of sales principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sustainable technology. The ideal candidate will be adept at building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
Responsibilities:
Sales Generation:
- Identify and target potential clients in various sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, industry events, and online research.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits of our smart metering solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to address their specific requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on smart metering technologies.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions in CRM systems.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide insights to management.
- Provide feedback on product performance and customer needs to the product development team.
Industry Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in smart water and energy metering technologies.
- Attend industry conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and their applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in smart metering.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of smart metering technologies and sustainability practices is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
