What you’ll do

Role purpose: 

•Ensure the successful delivery of technical programs and projects, align them with business objectives, and drive overall efficiency and effectiveness within an organization 

•Ensure that complex technical projects are delivered efficiently on time, and within budget, while meeting the strategic goals and objectives of the group. 

•Network CAPEX & OPEX budget planning and execution through implementation of cost optimization initiatives, effective program management and commercially driven network investment for maximization of financial returns.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership : 

•Project Delivery: Managing and delivering multiple, often simultaneous, technology projects from inception to completion.

•Strategic Delivery: Ensuring that technology projects align with the organization’s strategic goals and contribute to its overall success.

•Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating collaboration and reporting among different teams and stakeholders including partners, business units and senior management to ensure that everyone is on the same page.

•Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project stability

•Resource Management: Efficiently managing resources, including time, budget, and personnel, to optimize project outcomes.

•Quality Assurance: Ensuring that deliverables meet the required quality standards and are fit for purpose.

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

•University Degree in Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration

•Advanced knowledge of telecommunications network & service architecture, trends and evolution

•Project management

•At least 5 years’ experience in Telecommunications or Technology Operations Management Inclusive of at least 3 years leadership/supervisory experience. 

•Proven experience of working with multiple suppliers / vendors / partners

•Proven experience of working in complex regulatory environment 

•IT background provides an added advantage

•End-to-end knowledge of Network Engineering processes.
