Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB)

One-Year Contract Employment Opportunities

The President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, through letter Ref. No. FA. 97/228/02″A/183 dated 12th December 2024, has authorized the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) to employ qualified Tanzanians on a one-year contract basis to fill 15 vacant positions. AQRB is now inviting dynamic, proactive, and suitably qualified individuals to apply for the following positions:

Vacant Positions:1. ICT Officer II (1 Post)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ICT Management, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain back-end and front-end connectivity.
  • Ensure timely software patch updates.
  • Install, configure, and update anti-virus software.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining servers, workstations, and peripherals.
  • Conduct system backups and test recovery procedures.
  • Perform network troubleshooting and repairs.

    Remuneration: AQRB 4.1

2. Planning Officer II (1 Post)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Statistics, Project Planning and Management, or equivalent.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile budget estimates for AQRB.
  • Prepare committee contributions to the budget.
  • Compile project work plans and monitor implementation.
  • Prepare quarterly reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Remuneration: AQRB 4.1

3. Statistician Officer II (1 Post)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect data needed for managerial decision-making.
  • Analyze trends and suggest user satisfaction improvements.
  • Prepare monthly statistical and performance reports.
  • Prepare statistical bulletins.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Remuneration: AQRB 4.1

4. Records Management Assistant II (4 Posts)

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Records Management, Archives Management, or related fields.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing file indexes/registers.
  • Maintain records/documents in the registry.
  • File, dispatch, and cross-check correspondence.
  • Maintain diaries and records for file movements.
  • Receive, record, and distribute incoming/outgoing mail.

    Remuneration: AQRB 3.1

5. Driver II (8 Posts)

Qualifications:

  • Form IV certificate with two credit passes and a basic Driving Course Certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Valid driving license in Class E or C with at least one year of driving experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive institution vehicles.
  • Maintain logbooks and ensure safe-keeping of vehicles.
  • Perform messenger duties, including dispatching documents.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Monitor vehicle insurance and license validity.

    Remuneration: AQRB 2.1

General Requirements:
  1. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and aged 45 years or below.
  2. Attach an up-to-date CV with reliable contact information, including postal address, email, and telephone numbers.
  3. Submit copies of the following certificates:
    • Form IV and Form VI certificates
    • Professional certificates (if applicable) verified by the relevant authorities (NECTA, TCU, NACTE).
  4. Indicate three reputable referees with reliable contacts.
