Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in Denver, USA. AGA has operations in more than ten countries across four continents. Position: Technical Aid 2 – Painter

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To apply paint, stain, or other coating to surfaces on machinery, structures and other equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate of Secondary School Education with VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade one in arts and painting or equivalent.
- Must possess Valid Tanzania Driving license.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years working experience as a painter.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Mixing and matching paints and colors to meet the texture and look required for the project.
- To apply protective coating and decorative finishes to equipment, machinery, and other industrial structures.
- To make sure reports for work orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation.
- Ensure that work is performed as per Instruction and current work orders.
- To Attend daily safety Meetings.
- Perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner.
- Must be able to complete all quality assurance paperwork to meet all painting plan requirements; must be able to select the colour materials to suit the task, as outlined in the painting procedure specification.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to identify and report abnormalities.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Must have good written and oral communications skills in English language.
