    Job Purpose

    The role holder will be responsible for coordinating all the personal banking business for centralized schemes (MOU’s) to ensure the bank strategies, goals and objectives are achieved.  He/she will support the business to achieve its objectives on scheme administration for centralized Mou’s, effecting of loans on check off, follow up on payments for Equiloan deductions and Submission of change of pay points to respective institutions allocated. He/ she will oversee various schemes under public and government institutions, private institutions that are located centrally which include but not limited to TSC, Disciplined Forces, State Departments and Pension. The role holder will support all regions and branches centrally from Head office.

    Key Responsibilities

       Schemes administration for the centralized MOUs

      • Confirm the payroll details before loan approval by Credit Risk.
      • Confirm stop orders.
      • Advise on the final disbursement of loans through Central Disbursement.
      • Submit change of pay points to the respective institutions.
      • Liaise with the Salaries department to ensure timely crediting of customer deductions once the funds are received by the bank.
      • Follow up to ensure timely crediting of customer salaries in their accounts after monthly payrolls are closed.
      • Liaise with Credit Risk – Consumer Analysts to ensure timely approval of loan applications.
      • Follow up and ensure timely disbursement of personal banking check-off loans at the Disbursement Department.
      • Handle loan application exemption requests from the branches in liaison with the Regional RM Business and Segment Head.
      • Advise the Operations department on the central recovery of under-deducted and un-booked loans once the salaries are received by the bank.

       Booking: 

      • Ensure that all disbursed Equiloans are fully affected on check-off at the various payroll departments.
      • Communicate the booking status of all loans disbursed each month to all branches.
      • Collate Equiloan schedules on each payroll date, analyze, and advise the branches on loans that have been adopted, reduced, or dropped.
      • Follow up on Equiloan deductions for payment with the payroll accountants and Finance department heads.

      Compliance

      • Conduct weekly callback snap checks on sampled check-off loan applications to ensure that the callback forms are properly filled and that actual callbacks are made to the supervisors the customers report to at the unit level, confirming that applicants have no pending disciplinary issues at the unit level.
      • Ensure that loan and salary statements are authenticated.
      • Prepare the administration fee commission schedules by the 15th of each month and advise the Finance team for charging to branches

      Portfolio quality management:

      • Managing the performance of the portfolio of relationships assigned to them.
      • A continuous cleanup of the loan book to ensure that all the reinstated customer’s deductions are re-instated on the pay slips.

      Other Responsibilities:

      • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders across sectors.
      • Update and advise the Segment Head - Personal Banking on the progress of personal banking business within the assigned institutions.
      • Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager

      Qualifications

      Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

      • At least 5 years’ experience in Personal banking
      • University degree in a Business or marketing related course
      • Computer proficiency with high command in Microsoft suite.
      • Demonstrate ability to build, manage relationships and influence various stakeholders to deliver business.
      • Ability to carry on a business conversation with relevant decision makers and employees confidently.
      • Excellent communication and team interaction skills, routinely interacting with Institutions and staff.
      • Self-Driven, an eye for detail and capacity to meet strict deadlines
      • Individual Leadership skills, Excellent Planning and organizing skills.
      • Mature personality & Team player
      • Flexibility and willingness to travel to customer locations.
      • Excellent analytical skills and ability to strategically sell.
      • High networking skills with high level understanding of personal banking sector.
