The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our school. This is a key role that ensures the smooth functioning of all non-
academic aspects of the school, allowing our educators to focus on delivering high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the school’s administrative, facilities, and operational functions, ensuring efficient and effective support for teaching and learning.
• Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring the school adheres to all relevant regulations.
• Manage the school’s budget and financial operations in collaboration with the finance team.
• Supervise non-teaching staff, including administrative, facilities, and support teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Oversee the maintenance and development of school facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
• Coordinate procurement processes, ensuring value for money and compliance with school policies.
• Manage the school’s IT and communication systems, working with technical teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Plan and implement operational strategies to enhance the efficiency of school processes.
• Support the Headteacher and leadership team with strategic planning and decision-
making.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong
leadership and problem-solving skills. You should be passionate about supporting education and
able to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in operations management, ideally within an educational or similar
environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Financial acumen, including budget management and procurement experience.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong IT proficiency, including familiarity with management software and tools.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong
relationships across the school community.
• Leadership and team management experience.
