Introduction

Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU), formerly known as TUDARCo, is undergoing strategic reengineering and rebranding to align with the digital economy, the 4th Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), and curricular reforms resulting from the revised National Education and Training Policy (2014) (2023 Edition).

As part of this transformation, DarTU is strengthening its Library Department to meet the growing needs of the university. In this context, DarTU seeks to hire qualified, vibrant, and morally sound individuals to fill the following vacant positions.

Library Assistant II (1 Position)

Qualifications:

Must hold a Bachelor of Arts in Library and Information Studies or an equivalent qualification from a higher learning institution recognized by TCU.

Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a similar position.

Information Technology skills will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Update amended laws.

Draft original catalog entries, reference work, and collection records.

Perform routine professional duties.

Administer library records, including cataloging.

Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates, commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
