Job Summary

 

 

 

To provide thought leadership and consultancy on the Talent Management, Learning Culture and Leadership across the Organization to deliver on the business strategy.

•To provide advice and support in practice formulation and associated best practice improvement tactics enabling the provision of specialist human resources expertise in Talent, Learning and Leadership.

 

 

Job Description​

Accountability: Talent (40%)

  • Aligning talent strategy with business strategy to deliver a competitive advantage for the business.
  • Act as the Organization Future of Work.
  • Proactively explore all available channels and processes to build diverse pools of talent.
  • Develop and maintain Talent market Maps.
  • Designing talent programmes.
  • Provide leadership on all Talent Matters
  • Prepare HR to lead the workplace into the future by providing training on the necessary skill sets to ensure success in a future where the speed and quality of decisions is what matters.
  • Provide guidance on candidate’s assessments to ensure cultural fit for the organization, values alignment, long term potential, and technical fit for roles, setting  role expectations before presenting candidates to Business.

 

Accountability:  Employer Branding and EVP (10%)

  • Develop and implement plans on employer branding to ensure that NBC remains an employer of choice
  • Create awareness on the employee value proposition and ensure that line managers, employees and other stakeholders understand all the key pillars/elements.
  • Monitor and interact with and respond to candidates, building sustainable relationships, setting, and managing expectations clearly, identifying and resolving the root cause of any issues and escalating as required.
  • Review and monitor candidate/employee experience   on- boarding and off- boarding to ensure a pleasant experience
  • Identify and resolve Diversity and Inclusion imbalances, set goals on the right metrics

 

Accountability: Learning & Leadership Development (40%)

  • Guide the organization in articulating the right questions around the Future of Work
  • Deliver Leadership and Learning programmes via specialists, specifies internal capability gaps and ensure relevant assessments, development and coaching in place.
  • Create new capabilities for people leaders with tools that allow them to connect the dots between people and business patterns.
  • Be a leader in diversity by guiding the organization to understand Diversity & Inclusion, opportunities for improvement or areas of risk.
  • Manages external networks and is well connected in the appropriate bodies to shape the external perception of the Bank  to attract the best capabilities to the organization and have influence in the marketplace.
  • Partner with the HRBP’s  to support the analysis and scoping of the LL&T components of the overall business People Agenda
  • Consult and partner with HRBP’s  to ensure consistency and execution of all LL&T objectives and strategy aligned to business People Agendas.
  • In partnership with the HRBP’s provide LL&T expertise and insight at business meetings, either directly to the business head or to a wider management team.
  • Act as the consultant/broker for the business &HRBP to the rest of LL&T services. Act as the face of LL&T to the business, pulling in Leadership, Talent or Curriculum Specialists as required.
  • Lead and programme manage the diagnosis and delivery of bespoke learning and development interventions in line with the business goals, working in collaboration with the Learning Solutions teams to present an integrated LL&T delivery model.
  • Operate in a commercial and business management way, leverage internal governance, policies, and processes as appropriate to agree; objectives, outcomes, communication and embedding practices, timescales, budget, ROI expectations etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the clients and develop an exceptional understanding of business strategy and objectives, identifying opportunities for learning and development interventions across the global infrastructure business areas
  • Maximize utilization of internal learning solutions and synergies in all learning propositions, across all business areas, optimizing external spend
  • Use Data and analytics to define the ROI for development programs
  • Leverage and research external best practices to provide leading edge innovative solutions to the clients, and share this research with the team
  • Leverage existing best practices across the Group to provide a consistent learning model
  • Engage with and build an external LL&T network to ensure continuous updating of current best practice and leading-edge knowledge of learning
  • Ensure key talent information is gathered on individuals to feed into business decisions (i.e., internal moves/promotions), and to provide regular and timely updates to key stakeholders on talent deliverables and status
  • Exemplary business coach and sounding board to the Head of Human Resources and other senior leaders in the business

 

Accountability: Learning, Leadership and Talent Risk & Control Objectives (10%)

  • Up skill and educate people managers on People Manager Standards,
  • Ensure to adhere to the Talent, Learning, Leadership policy and Governance requirements throughout the recruitment process lifecycle.
  • Ensure to meet all the governance requirements on Learning and Talent Acquisition Systems are adhered to.
  • Liaise with People Experience team to provide guidance on governance for all Learning, Talent, and Leadership matters.

 

Education Required

Essential:  – University Degree

Preferred: – Master’s qualification in business management, HR, commerce, or industrial psychology

-Coaching Certification and experience

-Training on Facilitation

Experience Required

Essential

  • At least 5 years of successful track record in a leadership role within a complex Talent, Learning and leadership model/environment in a senior role.
  • Experience as a Senior Manager in translating business priorities into Talent, Learning and Leadership actions
  • Experience of managing/working with external vendors and good knowledge of the marketplace, competitors, and best practice on Talent, Learning and Leadership

Preferred

  • Experience in Learning, Talent, and Leadership in a large corporation.
  • Experience of working in a multinational, multi segment, environment with matrix reporting.
  • Awareness of cultural differences and varying legal regulatory environments.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Analytical and capable of reading data and reports to assess complex information
  • Unique understanding of people, culture, and ethics, combined with tech and data savviness, will enable HR leaders to navigate the organization through relentless waves of change and innovation
  • Broad understanding of Talent Management.
  • Commercial and analytical expertise.
  •  Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Strategic, influential, and confident in building relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Knowledge of / exposure to relevant employment legislation
