Employee Relations Associate
About The Position
Employee Relations associate position is aiming at providing a positive and collaborative relationship between the organization and its employees, particularly with regard to labor laws, union relations and workplace policies.
Main areas of responsibility
Facilitating internal disciplinary hearing and ensure all parties adhere to company policies and procedures
Represent the Company at labor court and defend effectively
Assist in developing and maintaining internal Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Unions to ensure a balanced employee-employer relation.
Ensure all employees’ personal records are filed and kept up-to-date both in personal files and SAPHR
Assist in developing, maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures relating to industrial relations and advise line managers to ensure consistent application.
Leading to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace environment
Requirements
University degree in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice / LL.M. or equivalent.
Experience in dealing with industrial relations
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swahili
Excellent communication skills, negotiations skills, interpersonal skills, general business understanding
Conversant with Tanzania labor laws by practicing
