To ensure the proper preparation, portioning, and baking of ingredients according to established recipes to produce high-quality breads, pastries, and other baked goods.

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Reporting to: Manager/Director

Supervision: None

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Production and Quality Assurance:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products using approved recipes.
  • Ensure accurate weighing, measuring, and mixing of ingredients to maintain consistent quality.
  • Meet production schedules and fulfill customer orders on time.

2. Product Packaging and Development:

  • Pack finished products using appropriate packaging materials and ensure proper labeling.
  • Contribute to the improvement of product quality and assist in developing new products to meet customer demands.

3. Workplace Hygiene and Organization:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work surfaces, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow cleaning and sanitizing schedules to ensure a hygienic working environment.

4. Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure all equipment issued to the bakery section is maintained in good working condition.
  • Report any equipment issues promptly for repairs or replacements.

5 .Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records related to production, inventory, and other relevant documentation.
  • Adhere to company policies and food safety standards at all times.

6 . Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager or Director.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a busy baking industry.
  • A Diploma in Hospitality and Catering or a related discipline.
