Gross Monthly Salary – Kshs 80,000.00 + Plus Commission

Our client, a leading tour company based in Nairobi, is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Sales Team Leader to manage and inspire their team of Tour Consultants. The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding company policies, achieving sales targets, spearheading product development, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Team Leadership & Management:

o    Guide, mentor, and support Tour Consultants to foster a positive work environment.

o    Conduct team meetings, assess performance, and implement improvement plans.

2.    Sales & Revenue Growth:

o    Monitor and drive sales performance to meet or exceed targets.

o    Develop strategies based on market trends and sales reports.

3.    Customer Service Excellence:

o    Ensure high-quality customer service and resolve complex issues.

o    Provide training to enhance customer satisfaction.

4.    Product & Marketing Support:

o    Collaborate on tour package development for diverse markets.

o    Contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.

5.    Compliance & Policies:

o    Enforce company policies and ensure regulatory compliance.

o    Communicate updates on policies and procedures.

6.    Administrative & Reporting:

o    Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and team efficiency.

o    Prepare reports on sales, performance, and customer feedback.

7.    Cross-Department Collaboration:

o    Coordinate with Marketing, Finance, and Operations for smooth service delivery.

o    Participate in company initiatives and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

•    5+ years of experience in tourism as a team leader or supervisor.

•    Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business Management, or a related field (Utalii College diploma also considered).

•    Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills.

•    Ability to analyze sales data and generate reports.

•    Knowledge of local & international tourism trends.

•    Proficiency in CRM software & Microsoft Office.

•    Fluency in Swahili & English; additional languages are a plus.

NB: This is a one year contract, and is subject to a three month probation period.
