  • Business Travel Needs: Required to work out in the field; therefore, significant travel is required.

Position Description

The Regional Sales Executive will be responsible for ensuring that all sales targets for PAYGO and portable d.light products are achieved within the designated sales area or territory. The role involves recruiting, training, and coaching sales agents at experience centers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing sales operations to drive business growth.


Roles & Responsibilities (R&Rs)
  • Sales Growth & Business Expansion:
    • Create brand awareness in designated geographies through direct selling at Experience Centers.
    • Identify new customers and consistently expand the customer base.
    • Manage sales agents and ensure that sales targets are met by pushing stock to assigned outlets.
  • Sales Management:
    • Monitor sales data and stay updated with current market trends and customer needs.
    • Handle customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Inventory & Channel Management:
    • Ensure stock availability across all retail outlets.
    • Activate new sales channels, including markets, groups, schools, MFIs, NGOs, and SACCOs.
    • Focus on distributor agents and retail outlets to promote d.light products.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships between d.light and clients.
    • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on competitive activities and market intelligence.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Achievement of set sales quotas and targets.
  • Successful recruitment of sales agents at Experience Centers and Aftersales.
  • Daily tracking and timely resolution of client queries and issues.
  • Activation of new channels and maintenance of stock availability across all outlets.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Minimum Education: Diploma in a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2–3 years of sales experience with a demonstrable and successful sales track record.
    • Experience in the solar industry is a strong advantage.
    • Background in rapid sales growth environments is preferred.
  • Key Skills:
    • Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
    • Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting/exceeding expectations.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
