    Job Purpose

    • Reporting to the Head of Retail & SME, the Branch Manager will be responsible for running an effective and efficient branch leading to higher profitability and growth in line with the Bank’s strategy, higher staff engagement and high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement the Bank’s strategy at branch level in terms of growth in customer base with concurrent growth in branch liabilities and assets.

    Job Purpose

    • Reporting to the Head of Corporate Banking, the Business Development Manager – Trade Finance will be responsible be responsible for effectively growing and managing the trade finance portfolio across the Bank so as to achieve sustained business growth and meet revenue targets.

    Job Purpose

    • Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, the IT Risk Officer will be responsible for providing continuous independent risk management oversight on the Bank’s Technology investments and Information Security framework with regard to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the IT infrastructure, processing systems, and related resources in line with the Bank’s Information Security and Risk Management policy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assessing the risks and exposures related to cyber security and determining whether they are aligned to the institution’s risk appetite.
    • Monitoring current and emerging risks and changes to laws and regulations.
    • Collaborating with system administrators and others charged with safeguarding the information assets of the institution to ensure appropriate control design.
    • Maintaining comprehensive cyber risk registers.
    • Ensuring implementation of the cyber and information risk management strategy.
    • Safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
    • Ensuring that a comprehensive inventory of IT assets is established and maintained.
    • Quantifying the potential impact by assessing the residual cyber risk and considering risks that need to be addressed through insurance as a way of transferring cyber risk.
    • Reporting all enterprise risks consistently and comprehensively to the Board to enable the comparison of all risks equally in ensuring that they are prioritized correctly.

    Job Purpose

    • Reporting to the Head of Credit Management, the Manager, Credit Administration will be responsible for ensuring credit processes and procedures are in place and are followed to ensure that the Bank is protected from its exposure to credit risk. He/she will ensure completeness of loan documentation, compliance with all approval conditions and credit policy requirements as well as portfolio quality management through monitoring and reporting to management and the Regulator.

    • Oversee sanctioning of disbursements after ensuring compliance with approval conditions.
    • Oversee handling and safe custody of security documents to facilitate creation of the
    • Bank’s Securities register, maintenance of the securities as well as discharge of the securities.

    • Oversee handling, maintenance and custody of credit files.
    • Maintain a diary system to ensure that all covenants, credit documentation and collaterals are up to date in terms of insurance, rates, rents, revaluations.
    • Oversee the timely preparation of accurate reports to the Head of Credit, Management,
    • Auditors, Credit Reference Bureaus and the Regulator (statutory reporting).
    • Oversee portfolio monitoring to ensure that loans are properly booked according to performance as prescribed in the Credit Policy and CBK Prudential Guidelines.
    • Oversee the monitoring of the Portfolio in providing triggers and changes in performance of the loan Book.
    • Provide leadership to and motivate Credit Administration staff.

    Job Purpose

    • Reporting to the Head of Credit Management, the Manager, Credit Analysis will be responsible for supporting the growth and sustained quality loan portfolio through sanctioning quality credit proposals. He/she will also support the development and review of credit products and review of credit processes.

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities

    • Provide oversight for the Credit Analysis team to ensure all applications received are adequately analyzed for their suitability and decisions communicated to the proposers or recommended for approval by the Management Credit Committee within SLA.
    • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s credit risk underwriting criteria as stipulated in the policies and procedures and ensure exceptions are escalated.
    • Formulate, implement and ensure compliance to credit analysis strategies and policies.

    • Develop and package winning value propositions targeting major relationships with huge potential for cheap deposits, quality assets, and substantial non-funded revenues.
    • Analyze clients’ business and cash flows to make informed decision on level of borrowing.
    • Prepare Credit Summaries for approval by the Credit committee and Board of Directors.
