MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
Research
- Plan and commission consumer research (qualitative and quantitative) to research agencies.
- Conduct consumer research (qualitative and quantitative) and explore consumer needs from the results.
Product and Material Development
- Understand product structure and propose and implement product improvements to meet consumer needs.
- Understand the machinery used to manufacture products and consult with engineers on equipment modifications to produce desired products.
- Understand the materials used and be able to select and develop appropriate materials in conjunction with suppliers.
Design and select materials for packaging and cartons.
- Understand package printing technology and be able to make appropriate improvement requests to packaging companies in case of printing problems.
Others
- Product Improvement through direct observation and analysis of used diapers and sanitary towels (Involves checking used products, understanding actual usage, and identifying areas for product improvement).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the branch brand strategy to support the achievement of the overall Division Strategy on profitability growth and market share
- Supervise the sales, parts, and service teams in the branch to ensure the team is motivated and highly performing
- Establish key performance indicators for branch personnel and track performance against such KPI’s
- Oversee effective management and control of financial expenditure at the branch level for enhanced branch profitability
- Implement effective systems that facilitate communication and employee participation to ensure employee retention and satisfaction.
- Manage and monitor branch capacity in terms of human resources to ensure the branch operations are fully supported
- Mentor and coach direct reports to support efficient and effective succession planning.
Operational Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities for the branch within the region to increase CASE market share
- Monitor compliance with statutory and manufacture requirements with the support of the respective brands, to ensure minimal risk exposure to CFAO Kenya due to noncompliance
- Network with key stakeholders within the community to promote branch services and identify business opportunities.
- Promote customer satisfaction through timely resolution of all customer complaints at the branch and ensure best customer service delivery
- Establish and implement Best practises in the branch based on respective branch’s customer diversified culture and needs
- In collaboration with technical training and development teams, ensure the branch has the required competencies at all levels to ensure the provision of quality services in parts, sales, and service
- Coordinate general administration of the branch to ensure that branch facilities and resources are safe and secure in line with 5S and Anzen guidelines
- Coordinate the collection of information at the branch level on competitor activities to ensure the availability of information required to develop market penetration strategies in parts, sales and service.
- Monitor the performance of the various brands on the 3S against the agreed targets, report on, and develop plans to address any gaps identified
- Provide timely, accurate and complete management reports on branch performance against set KPI’s
- Monitor the Branch cash sales and credit accounts to ensure full compliance with CFAO Kenya credit control policy and guidelines.
- Promote adherence and compliance with CFAO’s COCE policy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
Coordination/Operational Responsibilities
- Conduct Research and Development for new business/projects in the FMCG industry.
- Set up end to end operations for the current existing FMCG projects through acquiring product knowledge, creating business structure, preparing legal documents, price analysis, costing, arrangement for shipment and importation of products, logistics control, stock and demand control, payment process management, supporting sales promotions and marketing activities.
- Prepare presentations and proposals of market information, regulatory and business scheme.
- Understand the direction and strategy of each business/project and implement them by collaborating with other project members and colleagues.
- Provide and share reports timely and proactively whenever milestone progress and/or important aspects are observed with all relevant parties.
- Organise and participate in meetings with stakeholders (including suppliers, customers, distributors, business partners, CFAO Head Office, TTC Head Office), and internal project members and colleagues.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the project’s members and stakeholders.
- Liaise with CFAO Head Quarter and TTC’s relevant department to share the activities on country level and ensure the same understanding.Report on all activities, progress and challenges.
New Projects Support
- Execute necessary R&D process to materialize the projects in the pipeline and new projects which may arise.
- Understand the direction and strategy of each business/project and implement them by collaborating with other project members and colleagues.
- Learn about the projects in pipeline and new projects, such as renewable energy) etc., and make proactive proposal whenever necessary.
- Engage and collaborate with related business partners, suppliers, customers to develop the projects.
- Organize and participate in the meeting with stakeholders, business partners, customers, project members and colleagues.
- Prepare necessary presentation documents, travel reports, meeting minutes, and monthly report.
- Understand financial reporting of Project Division and review on turnover, gross profit, expenses and so forth.
- Prepare the budget for Project Division.
- Check the project progress and make timely reports.
<Administrative Support>
- Coordinate e-Visa application, logistics and accommodation for visitors coming to Kenya/EAC together with project members of the related divisions and colleagues of Project Division.
- Prepare itinerary for visitors, make necessary appointment for the visits and meetings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or any other relevant qualification
- CPA (Part 1) Qualification will be an advantage
