Job Details

Survey Technician (Ref: JHCL/ST/01/20) – 1 Position

Duty Station: Mine Site – Mbinga, Ruvuma

Reports to: Mine Surveyor

Job Summary

A Survey Technician supports mine surveyors and engineers in conducting accurate surveys, collecting essential data, and maintaining surveying equipment. This role combines fieldwork, data processing, and administrative tasks to ensure precise mapping, measurements, and documentation at mining sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting surveys at mining sites, including surface and underground areas.
  • Operate surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
  • Collect and record survey data accurately.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot surveying instruments.
  • Contribute to creating topographical maps, contour surveys, and elevation measurements.
  • Assist in volumetric calculations using survey data.
  • Support data analysis and collaborate with engineers and geologists.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing survey reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Key Qualifications
