The intern will:
- Assist in designing and implementing the overall marketing strategy for CIF
- Draft, format, and edit social media content for the social media calendar

- Responsibilities Under the overall supervision of the Planning Finance and Economy Section and the Urban Lab Mesoamerica Hub Coordinator, the intern will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide technical expertise and input related to climate change, including for the development of climate vulnerability assessments and the analysis of green and blue infrastructure.
- Support the development of analysis, collection, interpretation and representation of climate and environmental data and spatial analysis.
- Support producing desk and field research on topics related to climate adaptation and mitigation, nature-based solutions, sustainable housing, energy efficiency, circular economy, and urban planning.
- Support elaborating project proposals on climate adaptation and mitigation, for vertical climate funds in particular.
- Support work on climate resilience under the Flagship Programme Inclusive Communities, Thriving Cities and the integration of climate action components into the Our City Plans toolbox.
- Contribute to the preparation and implementation of participatory processes in the scope of urban planning and climate change (e.g., workshops, trainings and presentations).
- Support normative work and drafting of reports, including the development of climate-related plans, solutions, strategies, recommendations, actions and projects to support UN-Habitat interventions at national and local level, in alignment with international frameworks, such as the Paris Agreement, the New Urban Agenda and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.

- Responsibilities Project Development The intern will:
- Support project sourcing in the following regions Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean, Arab States and Asia and the Pacific working closely with the UN-Habitat Regional Offices.
- Support the delivery of ideation, feasibility analysis, and project preparation support to sustainable urban development infrastructure projects in the CIF Project Pipeline.
- Engage with CIF Implementing Partners – global experts delivering project preparation support – to track, monitor and guide the project preparation process.
- Support and facilitate project assessment, due diligence and bankability assessment processes of projects within the CIF Project Pipeline.
- Assist in the identification and incorporation of ESG and SDG-oriented analysis and decision support methodologies within the CIF.
- Assist the development of a Donor Tracker: a database and analysis of relevant investors, and financiers engaged by UN-Habitat, in support of launching a new Feasibility Fund, creating agendas, presentation materials, taking action notes and providing follow-up engagement, for internal UN-Habitat and external Partner meetings.
- Liaise with current and potential partners in the areas of commercial and private investment and developing project pipelines.
- Support the development of partnership agreements: including memorandums of understanding, budgets, work plans, marketing collateral and other relevant materials for CIF relationships with partners as required.
- Contribute to developing and operationalizing CIF's strategy, roadmap and business model.
- Assist with developing a database and analysis of relevant donors, investors and financiers who can support the work of UN-Habitat and CIF.
