Estimation Engineer

- The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for managing all tasks related to tendering within the ELV/ICT/AV field, including tender preparation, vendor management, and coordination with relevant teams. The role involves in-depth technical and practical knowledge in various ELV systems and will require a highly organized individual with experience in tendering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Management:
- Lead all tender-related tasks from initial stages to final submission.
- Coordinate with suppliers by sending Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender specifications to obtain prices.
- Compare pricing from different suppliers and make cost-effective recommendations.
- Prepare tender compliance sheets, ensuring all specifications align with the client’s requirements.
- Collect and manage all mandatory documents required for the tender submission.
- Attend pre-bid site meetings and tender openings.
- Bind and manage tender documents, ensuring they are properly signed and stamped.
- Ensure proper arrangement of tender security bids and necessary legal documents.
- Technical Coordination and Specifications:
- Conduct technical specification comparisons between tender specifications and suppliers’ specifications.
- Perform site surveys to gather accurate data for tendering purposes.
- Liaise with the Electrical Division to ensure correct pricing and specification alignment.
- Explore and engage new vendors for value engineering and competitive pricing.
- Assist in preparing handover documents for awarded tenders.
- Correspond with clients and suppliers regarding tender-related matters.
- Manage documentation throughout the tendering process and ensure timely submission of all relevant documents.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- A minimum of a Degree or Diploma in a relevant field (Engineering, Technology, etc.).
Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in ELV, ICT, or AV systems.
- Strong knowledge in Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, ELV, Audio Visual, Intrusion Systems, Video Intercom, Network Switches, IPPABX, Routers, and Firewalls.
